The Beneteau Oceanis 50 was design by Berret Racoupeau and built by Beneteau USA in Marion, South Carolina.  "Sol Searcher" is a blue water capable performance oriented cruiser.  The cockpit can comfortably seat ten adults and accommodations below deck will sleep eight with three private double cabins, two heads and one single berth.  800 Amp-hr house battery bank, 2000 Watt inverter, and 7.6KW generator meet all of our electrical requirement....including air conditioning at anchor.

Sails include an in-mast furling main with vertical battens and a 140% roller furling genoa.   Sail trim controls include:  main sheet, rigid boom vang, outhaul, tow-able genoa lead blocks.  All lines are lead aft to the cockpit.  All winches are powered for finger tip control.

Auxiliary propulsion is provided by a Yanmar 4JH4-HTE 110 HP engine coupled with a fixed 21 inch 3-blade propeller.  The 63 gallon fuel capacity will provide for a 300 nautical mile range with 10% reserve.

A bow thruster and electric windlass make docking and anchoring a painless.  Raymarine Hybrid Touch electronics including RADAR keep us in the right place.

Sol Searcher meets all United States Coast Guard safety requirements including:
